The Two RV Gypsies: Full-Time RVers, Lee and Karen Duquette witnessed several bad / rude drivers
|
June 2021 - Lee Duquette wanted to take
a rest so he pulled their 40-foot RV (and toad) into a rest stop off
I-84 in the town of Greenville, Pennsylvania. There were lots of
car spaces available where the motorcycle shown below could have parked,
but instead, the rude motorcycle driver took up part of the only space
that would have been big enough for the two RV Gypsies' RV and toad.
But with him there, Lee Duquette did not dare try to park their
40-foot RV and toad, so they had to continue driving to the next rest
stop. |
At the next rest stop, Lee Duquette found a spot to park the big RV. But Karen Duquette wondered why the car shown below parked in a big spot when there were lots of open spaces. Again, RUDE AND SELFISH. |

While the two RV Gypsies, Lee and Karen Duquette, were parked, they saw a car pull up in front of a parked semi and two people got out of the car. They got in the middle of the driving lane and started signaling for a motorcycle to pull in behind them. Good thing the truck driver did not come back right away and need to get out, because he would NOT have been able to. How can people be so rude and lazy! |

Back on the road again. The car shown below was behind the two RV Gypsies' RV. He kept beeping his horn. Finally, he pulled around the RV and right smack dab in front of the RV, very close to the RV. Duh! Look at the traffic. It is not like he was going to get very far. Besides, it is NEVER safe to pull real close in front of a big RV or Semi. An RV driver can NOT just slam on the brakes, especially if towing a car because the car can jackknife. RVs can not quickly swerve into another lane either. The same is true of many of the big trucks on the road. Hopefully, this will help car drivers become aware of things they just did not realize. Do NOT cut off a big RV or a semi-truck or you might get hit in the rear-end. |
