enjoyed The Wizard of Oz in North Carolina

The Land of
Oz is a theme park based on L. Frank Baum's Land of Oz books, located
in the resort town of Beech Mountain, North Carolina. Carolina Caribbean
Corporation opened it in 1970 and was fully operational until 1980. Land
of Oz opened for a short time in 2026 and Lee and Karen Duquette enjoyed
their visit there. Land of Oz opened for only a few days in 2026. |

to get on a different bus to start their adventure into The Wizard of
Oz, Lee and Karen Duquette had to spend some time wandering around the
gift shop area. Guests were all assigned a time slot in order to have
control about the number of guest exploring areas at the same time. And
of course, as usual, Lee and Karen Duquette arrived here a bit early than
their assigned time. |

Dorothy Gale is the main character of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
She is an orphan who lives on a farm in Kansas with her aunt, uncle,
and dog, Toto. But a storm took her to a place with interactions with
all characters in Oz. Everyone had to take a seat for this show before
continuing on. Lee and Karen Duquette did not really find this show
all that interesting.
