Karen and Lee Duquette visited The State Botanical Garden of Georgia and Alice Hand Calloway Conservatory 2450 S. Milledge Avenue Athens, GA 30605-1674 (call 706.542.1244 for hours) June 21, 2025



Georgia is the largest state east of the Mississippi River and is one of the most diverse states in terms of plant species, with nearly 4,000 found in the mountains, Piedmont and coastal plain, according to the director of the State Botanical Garden of Georgia.
