Red Roof Inn Charleston - Kanawha City, WV was a 100% smoke free hotel located just minutes from the gold-domed Capitol Building, the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center and also not far from West Virginia Tech and the Tri-State Racetrack and Gaming Center. It is also s a pet-friendly hotel. Red Roof Inns are not usually a favorite of Karen Duquette, but this one was fairly okay. This was a 2-night stay.

Upon first entering this hotel room, Karen Duquette thought it smelled badly, so they had to use room deodorizer often. However the room was fairly clean. The hotel did NOT offer free breakfast. There was no shower caps and no coffee cups were provided, but there was a small coffee maker and packaged coffee in the room. Only 5 TV stations came in

Although this was a 2-night stay, Lee Duquette did not feel well on the 2nd day, so they stayed in the hotel except to go out for food. They ate at Plaza Maya Restaurant in Charleston, West Virginia
