The two RV Gypsies and family
went to The Great Alaskan Bowl Company to watch craftsmen turn birch
logs into heirloom bowls and browse about 1,500 "Made in Alaska"
products. Renee, John and Ilse custom designed their own laser engraved
bowl.
Started over 20 years ago, this family-run business is one of the last operational bowl mills in America, and it thrives because of the quality products and large selection, including unique wood bowls, plus products including foods and cookbooks, clothing and jewelry.
Unique bowls ranged from about $20 and on up on this date. The two
RV Gypsies also visited the Bowl Company in 2009 when they were in Alaska. |
