These comments are just the experience of the two RV Gypsies and do not make the campground good or bad in general. The two RV Gypsies stopped here because it was near Davenport, Iowa.

The owner of the campground was very nice and he lives in the corner house right by the campground. The campground is actually on both sides of the road, and one side is for transient RVs and the other side had full-time RVs. All RVs must be self-contained to stay here, because there was no office, just a registration box, and an outhouse. The two RV Gypsies had a full-hook up pull-through site with 50 amp service. TV was via antenna but a lot of TV stations came in clearly, including ABC and NBC.

This was a Passport America campground, so during the week it was only $10 a night to stay here, but on week-ends it was $20 a night, which was still very reasonable. (prices are always subject to change)

All sites were rocks. Water pressure was good. The only negative was that trains blowing their horns came by frequently and the train tracks were very close by on a small hill and the two RV Gypsies could watch the trains go by out of their RV window. The train horns were very annoying, especially at nighttime.

When the two RV Gypsies arrived at the campground, they were told they had missed the parade that was held earlier in the day. But in the evening, there was a street dance in the center of town, one block away. The two RV Gypsies walked up there, and there were a lot of people. The band was good and was playing right outside of the local bar, so everyone was drinking heavily. Only two young children were dancing to the music. The two RV Gypsies are not sure what the occasion for the celebration was.

For Sunday morning, the local church, which was non-denominational held a service and then provided free coffee and donuts.

A nearby house had a tree stump that they decorated with a window, door and even a squirrel. It was so cute,
