While in Washington state, The two RV Gypsies
tried some new food at a restaurant
July 18, 2013

After leaving Mount Rainier National Park, the two RV Gypsies stopped at The Wild Berry Restaurant on SR 706 in Ashford, Washington for dinner. It was only one mile from the Nisqually entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park. The Wild Berry Restaurant featured a taste of two worlds, American / Himalayan cuisine. The hosts were from Lukla, Nepal where they owned a lodge and restaurant that catered to tourists. They brought their culture to Washington state where they operate in the shadow of Mt. Rainier.

Karen Duquette ordered the Beef Mono. It is dumplings with browned beef, red and green peppers, Himalayan spices and fresh tomato relish, plus cole slaw. Karen thought the food was very bland and did not see anything inside the dumplings except a very small amount of meat. The Cole Slaw was very good in Karen's opinion. Lee's dinner was chicken curry, and he liked it. But the tray reminded them of cafeteria style service. Comments stated here do not make the restaurant good or bad in general. They are just comments from the experience of the two RV Gypsies on a certain date.
