Cedarbrook Campground sign
the office that RV must drive around before registering

The entry at Cedarbrook Campground was unusual. RVs had to drive 3/4 of the way around the office (the building shown in the photo above) before parking to register. In other words, drive to the left of the building, swing wide around the corner so that you are now behind the building, then swing wide around the corner so you end up parked to the right of the building shown above. The corners were wide enough, and had signs to swing wide, but they also had big rocks that demanded attention.

Since this was a one-night layover, there was not much to say about this campground. This was a Good Sam Club Campground and also gave a small discount for AAA members. It is located one mile off I-70 in Southwestern Illinois.

This campground had unsecured Wi-Fi that worked well at the site. TV was by antenna, no cable, so about 9 stations came in. The water pressure was very low. A few TRAINS came by at night and blew their horns, which really annoys Karen Duquette. The roads were gravel roads. A small patch of grass separated sites.

The swimming pool looked to be of adequate size, and was fenced in, but the two RV Gypsies did not use it. No paperwork was given to the two RV Gypsies telling the check-out time. There were No trees on the sites. Some trees along the campground roads could use a trimming though.

Comments made here do not make the campground good or bad in general, they are just statements from the visit of the two RV Gypsies and said date.
