Heartland RV Park was a Good Sam Park so
the price on this date was $23.84 per night for full hook-ups,
50 amp. There were also some cabins and tent sites. Roads and sites
were gravel/dirt combination with a small strip of grass between sites.
Sites were long enough for the RV and toad of the two RV Gypsies. Sites
were available up to 100-feet in length. Most standard campground rules
applied. Swimming pool hours were listed as 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and no-one
under 12 in hot tub unless with adult. (Many doctors say hot tubs and
hot springs or not healthy for the still-growing organs of young children
so this is a good rule). The two RV Gypsies did not use the swimming
pool or hot tub, partly because of the early 8 p.m. closing time. They
also did not use the campground restrooms, showers or laundry.
Road noise was a bit annoying at night
because the park is near the road and there were no trees or anything
to block the sound. (see photo below) Cable TV came in okay. The campground
Wi-Fi was not coded but worked at sites. The campground restricts streaming
video on their Wi-Fi, which is understandable. Check out time was 11
