Lee and Karen Duquette, with their granddaughter Kristen and Rachel
at the Hot Air Balloon Festival October 18, 2025
|
Below: Karen Duquette walked with their granddaughter Kristen and
her friend Rachel Hart as they waited in a very long line to get into
a TETHERED balloon that went just a bit in the air. Kristen
has never been in a hot air balloon before. The cost on this date was
$20 per person, and they put up to 6 people in a balloon basket.
Karen and Lee Duquette did not want to pay to do this because they
HAVE been in a hot
air balloon in 1991 over the Everglades. Lee and Karen also paid
to fly again at the Albuquerque
Hot Air Balloon Festival in 2012, which was great, but their personal
flight was cancelled due to weather. Yet they still enjoyed the amazing
hot air balloon festival that was much bigger than the event on this
date. Lot of balloon information can be gained from each of those two
sites. If you go there, please return here.

time for Kristen and Rachel to fly. Karen took some photos. (Rachel also
took some photos from the balloon basket, but Karen did not get any of
those. |

Below: A bit later,
everyone walked around to check out the booths and other activities while
waiting for the activities with the other hot air balloons to begin. It
was a very long time for shopping and listening to music. |
