Below: The fun began with the arena lights being turned off and everyone turned on their cell phone camera lights (Note: regular cameras are NOT allowed in the arena). This was followed by everyone standing for the National Anthem.

Then it was time for the Monster trucks to drive from their designated spots, take a quick turn around the area, then exit the field so the competition events could begin. Karen Duquette did not photograph all 8 monster trucks at this time.
