This year, the two RV Gypsies went with family and friends, Halloween trick-or-treating in downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

The two RV Gypsies - Scarecrow and Popeye - since this was a family vacation, they wanted to wear "kid-friendly" costumes. (Karen Duquette usually likes scarier costumes). "Popeye The Sailor Man really WAS the hit of the town. So many people wanted to take his photo as they walked around Gatlinburg. Popeye really "hammed" up the part too! He had a blast! Halloween is not usually his thing.

The scarecrow only entered the costume contest because Popeye insisted. He would not enter the contest unless the scarecrow did too. Karen usually wins contests, but knew she would NOT this time. She only wore the scarecrow outfit to be "kid friendly" around Gabriella. Popeye took 3rd place.

A lady in a leopard-style vest, jeans, and a ring of flowers in her hair took second place (?????) It is believed that the judges knew her. The audience was STUNNED!.

First place was the Wizard of Oz family shown below with a witch, Dorothy and a Scarecrow. Everyone that won got tickets to the Ripley's Aquarium (value of $40 for each adult). Popeye got two tickets, so the two RV Gypsies enjoyed the aquarium later, after the rest of the family went home.
