The two RV Gypsies and friends
experienced a Swamp Buggy Eco-Tour into Florida's natural side and learned
about the fragile ecosystem of the Florida Everglades and the surrounding
flora, fauna, and wildlife.
The swamp buggy guide took the two RV Gypsies and friends on a journey through time while they explored the lush wilderness of Seminole Country. The Swamp Buggy bounced and splashed through the swamp and hardwood hammock to give views of native and exotic wildlife up-close and in a free-roaming environment. There was an array of native and exotic animals such as deer, antelope and bison, many species of birds, alligators, zebras, and wild turkeys. Along the trail deep in the hammock they made a brief stop at a replica of a Florida Seminole’s Indian Camp, and learned a bit about the culture and history as well as a few plant uses for survival long ago.
Swamp Buggies are open customized motorized vehicles with a canopy top, specially designed to provide visitors with an elevated view of the land while comfortably riding through the wetlands, cypress heads and hardwood hammocks. On this open ride, the two RV Gypsies and friends were the ones in a “cage,” not the animals.
