The Two RV Gypsies: Full-Time RVers
|
In order to enter this KOA in the 40-foot RV with a toad, Lee Duquette had to swing the RV onto the other side of the road in order to safely get into the entrance without damaging the vehicles. But it was not a busy road, so it was not much of a problem. The roads and sites were dirt. Cable TV came in with lots of channels. The office was small. Wi-Fi was available throughout the park and there were two hotspots with no password. The Wi-Fi was super fast and even let the two RV Gypsies watch a movie on the computer.Reservations were for only two people per campsite. Additional adults cost $2 and additional child would cost $1 each. Cost for the two RV Gypsies was about $38 per night on this date with their 10% discount. (Prices at campgrounds are always subject to change). There were several museums in the area. The campground had a catch and release pond. Trains could be heard, but they were not as loud as they have been in other KOA's. Check-in and check-out time was 11 a.m. on this date. |
