at Watkins Glen KOA Camping Resort |
Watkins Glen Camping Resort had a very nice, wide, paved road at the entrance to the park. However, once the paved road reached the office, the road became a gravel road. This is not unusual at KOA campgrounds. The park had unsecured Wi-Fi that came in at sites. The cable TV also came in okay, but cable was only available on full hookup sites. The water pressure was also okay. There was a large indoor pool and an indoor spa, exercise room, laundromat and more. All in all, this was a nice KOA.However train tracks were right outside of the campground, and the trains blew their loud horns at night. At least there were not a lot of trains at night though. The sites themselves were standard unless you pay for upgraded or premium sites. Cabins were also available. There was a fishing pond and other amenities that the two RV Gypsies did not investigate or use. The two RV Gypsies spent most of their time out of the campground checking out waterfalls, so they did not take any photos in the campground. Comments about this campground do not make this campground good or bad in general. These are just comments about the experience of the the two RV Gypsies on this date. |
