The two RV Gypsies Adventures
at Lava Hot Springs KOA in Idaho
August 10-11, 2013

Driving by Pocatello Regional Airport on the way to Lava Hot Springs KOA in Idaho, a big jet few across the road very close to the two RV Gypsies' RV.  Karen Duquette was able to snap two quick pictures through the window of the RV.

Below: The two RV Gypsies parked their RV at Lava Hot Springs KOA in Idaho. Although they made their reservations 2-1/2 weeks ahead of time, they were assigned to an overflow spot near the office. Actually the overflow spot was real nice, but it cost $70 a night because it is considered a premium site (the back half of the RV fit on the paved area - there was a fancy gas BBQ grill on site and a nice picnic table in a grassy area). Only problem was that there was no cable in the premium site. For that kind of money, the two RV Gypsies really would like to have TV.

The campground Wi-Fi was super slow even though they were parked next to the office. And on the second day, the Wi-Fi didn't come in at all, and no, the two RV Gypsies did not upload, download, or use excessive bandwidth.  The water pressure was very poor at times. (Cost of RV sites ranged from $27.50 to $85 a night) Check in time was 3 P.M. Check out was 11 A.M. Your site can be reserved a whole year in advance.

Below: The view behind the RV of the two RV Gypsies. The Portneuf River is down behind the trees. There is a path leading down there too. Looking to the front of the two RV Gypsies' RV, they saw a big hill and a train going by.

Below: Karen Duquette was brave enough to go in the water, but- notice the face she made because of the water was icy cold. It was a slow, difficult walk because of the big boulders. Swimming was impossible because of the big boulders. Lee Duquette would not go in the water.
