Lee
and Karen Duquette, The two RV Gypsies at Encore Thouseand Trails Oceana Campground in Ocean City and Ocean Shores Washington state July 21 - 22, 2013 |
The two RV Gypsies stayed at Encore Thousand Trails Oceana Campground in Ocean City, Washington. As they turned left into the park entrance, there were ditches on BOTH sides of the road. This made it tricky to drive their big RV into or out of the park, but Lee Duquette is a really good RV driver. This park did NOT have Wi-Fi (except at the clubhouse), but the two RV Gypsies got their own Wi-Fi to work occasionally. NO TV at all. Dirt Roads. Extremely small clubhouse. Laundry was inside an old trailer. RV's or cars can be washed on site for an additional fee, but it will not do much good because of the dirt roads in the park. There was a big empty field that the kids played in. (The two RV Gypsies do not travel with kids) There was No pool. No personal mail accepted at this park. |

Below: The first part of the park had very few RV's. Apparently everyone liked to drive over the narrow bridge (shown in the photo below) to the second half of the park. That might be because of the access to the beach. But that does make the small clubhouse where Wi-Fi is located, and the laundromat trailer a bit of a walk. |

Below: The pathway at the far end of the campground had access to the beach. It was probably about a 1/4 mile walk, and it was a cool day. But Lee and Karen Duquette enjoyed the walk. |

Below: The two RV Gypsies finally reached the beach. It was a cold day, and there was a mist in the air just hovering over the sandy beach (see photo below on the right). |
