the setting sun. Paria is a Paiute word meaning "water
with elk" or "water with mud". The translation
varies depending on context and season. |

Paria Point is on the eastern portion of the drive that winds through Bryce Canyon. It is located about two miles from the turnoff to Inspiration Point. |
